Politeknik Kota Kinabalu Achieves 104% New Student Intake for Session I 2024/2025
A total of 924 new students have registered and participated in the Student Transformation Week (MTS) for Session I 2024/2025 at Politeknik Kota Kinabalu (PKK), marking a successful intake that exceeded the institution’s official student admission target.
The MTS programme, which began on 27 July 2025, serves as a vital initiative to introduce new students to the learning culture, core values, and campus life at PKK. It also aims to equip students with essential information and early guidance to ensure a smooth transition into tertiary education.
Chief Executive Officer of Sedafiat Sdn. Bhd. and CEO@POLYCC Politeknik Kota Kinabalu, Datuk Hj Ag Buhtamam Hj Ag Mahmun, stated that PKK’s achievement in reaching 100% of its student admission quota reflects the institution’s continued relevance and popularity among school leavers seeking diploma and certificate-level studies.
“With the enrolment of 924 new students, PKK has successfully met the full student intake quota. This proves that PKK remains a relevant and trusted institution of higher learning that meets current industry demands,” he said.
Meanwhile, PKK Deputy Director of Academic Affairs, Ts Abdul Razak Mohd Daim, reminded new students to adhere to the guidelines and code of conduct set by the institution.
“We warmly welcome all new students to be part of PKK’s dynamic community. Should any challenges arise, we encourage students to reach out to any of our staff. We are always ready to provide the best support platform to ensure their learning journey is smooth and productive,” he added.
As a record, Politeknik Kota Kinabalu has achieved a new student intake rate of 104%, surpassing the target quota set for the 2024/2025 academic session.
