Sedafiat Strengthens Corporate Transformation Through Digitalisation and AI via MoU with Universiti Malaysia Sabah

Sedafiat Sdn Bhd remains firmly committed to positioning itself as a leading driver in digitalisation and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to advance its corporate transformation agenda, while strengthening its brand image and credibility at both national and regional levels.

As a strategic step towards enhancing its digitalisation framework, Sedafiat has formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). The signing ceremony took place at the Auditorium of the Digital Department, UMS, and was officiated by Kasim Hj. Mansor, Vice Chancellor of UMS, alongside Ag. Buhtamam Hj. Ag. Mahmun, Chief Executive Officer of Sedafiat.

Through this strategic collaboration, Sedafiat will implement a range of initiatives including the development of AI-driven digital solutions, provision of industrial training opportunities, and capacity-building programmes for students. According to Datuk Hj. Ag. Buhtamam, this initiative not only strengthens the digital ecosystem but also expands the application of AI in healthcare, facilities management, and community development.

“This collaboration is a clear testament to Sedafiat’s commitment to high-impact innovation, while reinforcing our efforts in promoting greener, more sustainable, and technology-driven facilities management. Through the integration of AI, our digitalisation efforts are further enhanced by intelligent analytics, process automation, and the development of more proactive healthcare solutions, reflecting our continued commitment to corporate social responsibility and community development,” he stated.

Also present at the ceremony were Luqman Ridha Anwar, Registrar of UMS; Rossita Shapawi, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) of UMS; and Ag. Asri Ag. Ibrahim, Chief Digital Officer of the UMS Digital Department, along with Sedafiat’s senior management team including Awang Roozan Mohd Nadzir, Chee Chow Chong, Hj. Khamis Abd Majid, and Nur Siddiq Chin Abdullah.
