Anjung Senja Surau Officially Opened, Sedafiat Continues to Support Community Facility Development

Sedafiat Sdn. Bhd. reaffirmed its commitment to employee well-being and the promotion of spiritual values through the Official Opening Ceremony of the Anjung Senja Surau, held at the Anjung Senja Surau, Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK).

The ceremony, held from 8.30 a.m. to 11.45 a.m., brought together Sedafiat's senior management, representatives from government agencies and distinguished guests to celebrate the official opening of the surau, which will serve as a centre for worship and religious activities.

The event commenced with the arrival of the Anjung Senja Surau Committee, followed by Sedafiat's senior management and invited guests. Among the distinguished attendees were YB Datuk Dr. Haji Mohd Arifin bin Datuk Haji Mohd Arif, Sabah Minister of Local Government and Housing and State Executive Councillor for Islamic Affairs, and YBhg. Dato’ Sri Dr. Haji Sabin bin Samitah, JP, Mayor of Kota Kinabalu City Hall. The programme continued with the opening ceremony, recitation of prayers and verses from the Holy Quran to seek blessings for the event.

The highlight of the ceremony was the officiating address delivered by YB Datuk Dr. Haji Mohd Arifin bin Datuk Haji Mohd Arif, followed by the official opening gimmick and the signing of the Anjung Senja Surau commemorative plaque. The ceremony was witnessed by the Mufti of Sabah, representatives from Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK), Sedafiat Sdn. Bhd. and the Sabah State Department of Islamic Affairs (JHEAINS).

As a gesture of appreciation, commemorative gifts were presented to the guests of honour, followed by a group photography session, a tour of the Anjung Senja Surau with invited guests and a luncheon.

The official opening of the Anjung Senja Surau reflects Sedafiat's continuous commitment to supporting the development of comfortable and conducive community facilities for both the public and its workforce. This initiative aligns with the company's aspiration to foster well-being, harmony and positive values in the workplace. Through close collaboration with Kota Kinabalu City Hall and relevant agencies, the surau is expected to serve as a meaningful centre for worship, unity and community development.
