Driving Excellence in Healthcare Management: Launch of the CHFM Program
Sedafiat Sdn. Bhd. continues to solidify its role as a strategic industry partner in high-skilled human capital development. On April 7, 2026, the company participated in the dual-purpose ceremony for the Launch of the Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) Program and the Handover of the TAIGS 2025 Research Grant Completion Certificate for the Wood Working Adjustable Smart Stand (WASS).
The event took place at the Main Lecture Hall, Politeknik Kota Kinabalu (PKK), Sabah, and was officiated by Ts. Abdul Razak bin Sabtu, Deputy Director-General (Governance) of the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (JPPKK), underscoring the government's commitment to an industry-oriented TVET ecosystem.
Distinguished Leadership and Collaboration
The ceremony was attended by key figures in the industry and public sector, including:
- Datuk Haji Ag Buhtamam Ag Mahmun: CEO of Sedafiat Sdn. Bhd. and Member of the International Advisory Council for Healthcare Facility Management (IACHFM).
- Ir. Ts. Huszian bin Hussin: Director of Engineering Services Division, Ministry of Health (MOH) and President of IACHFM.
- En. Md Nor bin Abdul Halim: Director of Politeknik Kota Kinabalu.
- En. Adam Lamau: Representing the Sabah State Health Director.
The gathering also included Sedafiat’s senior leadership, department heads, and representatives from the Training and Professional Development Division (JSMP), alongside strategic partners from the MOH and Sabah State Health Department (JKNS).

The CHFM program, presented by Pn. Noorhasimah binti Kassim, is a strategic initiative designed to enhance the capabilities of the workforce in healthcare facility management. Key focus areas include:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all facilities meet stringent health and safety standards.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimizing hospital support services.
- Complex Risk Management: Preparing professionals to navigate modern healthcare challenges.
The current cohort consists of 35 participants from both Sedafiat Sdn. Bhd. and JKNS, reflecting a successful public-private synergy in developing high-impact talent.
