SEDAFIAT PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO SABAH ASSISTANT MINISTER OF TOURISM, CULTURE & ENVIRONMENT TO ADVANCE SUSTAINABLE WASTE MANAGEMENT AGENDA

KOTA KINABALU, 24 July 2026 – Sedafiat Sdn. Bhd. paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture & Environment of Sabah, YB Dr. Andi Md Shamsureezal Bin Mohd Saina, at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Environment, Level 5, Block A, Wisma Tun Fuad Stephens, Karamunsing, Kota Kinabalu, at 2.30 p.m.

The Sedafiat delegation was led by the Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Hj. Ag Buhtamam Hj. Ag Mahmun, accompanied by the company's Heads of Department. The visit formed part of Sedafiat's ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic collaboration with the Sabah State Government in advancing environmental sustainability initiatives.

During the meeting, Sedafiat presented its proposal for the development of a Centralized Waste Management Facility (CWMF) in Sabah as a strategic initiative to enhance the state's integrated waste management system. The proposed facility aims to improve operational efficiency, strengthen safety in waste handling, and promote sustainable waste management practices in line with Sabah's green development aspirations.

Through the development of the CWMF, Sedafiat seeks to introduce a more systematic and integrated approach to waste management, contributing to environmental conservation, enhanced logistics efficiency, and greater compliance with recognised waste management standards.

The courtesy visit also provided a constructive platform to explore potential collaboration between Sedafiat and the Sabah State Government in realising initiatives that will strengthen waste management across the state. Guided by its commitment to innovation and sustainability, Sedafiat remains dedicated to delivering impactful solutions that support the healthcare sector, protect the environment, and enhance community well-being.
